Welcome

Marianne Maksirisombat's work is a colorful journey through the abstract, a passionate exploration of vivid hues and evocative form combinations.

The environmentally engaging paintings, whether presented on traditional canvas or on three dimensional formed steel constructions, interact with the surroundings and the viewer's perspective. Each experience is a unique conversation of shifting light and form. At any point during the day, the paintings appear different, depending on the light and time of day and where you stand. The shadows cast onto the wall also morph throughout the day. Three dimensions enters a viewer's personal space, and takes a more active existence, enticing you in to experience the rich, bold colors as independent forms instead of attributes of another object.

Multiple angles are presented in the online gallery to experience the three dimensional nature of the work, however, to meet these paintings in person is essential. Marianne also does traditional flat canvas, to pay tribute to a rich history of painting on a flat surface.
